The double-umbrella structure insulator has an open umbrella shape, a smooth inner skirt without ridges, which can effectively reduce the accumulation of dust and dirt, resulting in a low dust accumulation rate and good self-cleaning performance in wind and rain; the bell-shaped umbrella skirt utilizes the different wetting periods inside and outside the umbrella and the discharge suppression effect of the high ridge under the umbrella to improve the anti-fouling performance.
Increased creepage distance: By adding several deep ridges to the lower surface of the umbrella skirt or increasing the size of the umbrella skirt, the creepage distance of the insulator is increased. The creepage distance is generally 20%~30% higher than that of ordinary insulators, or even more, thereby improving the electrical strength of the insulator under polluted conditions.
